Business Benefits

With skillful facilitation activities can be linked to business benefits. This can be added with a light touch to activities within team building days or we can create a programme with more depth by combining facilitated discussion with activities.

Analysing tasks against a list of business skills shows that four core skills are common to all tasks. These core business skills and benefits are:

  • Leadership
  • Communication
  • Planning
  • Teamwork

Other business benefits emerge naturally; more frequently come skills such as trust, assertiveness, adaptability, precision and abstract reasoning; less frequently come resource allocation, change management, logical thinking, creativity and ‘big picture’. In practice, all the business skills and benefits are interrelated. In splitting them out separately, we should recognise that many skills and benefits are involved at any one time in any one activity.
